Rode the speedmaster up the A49 to Warrington to have a look at the new Royal Enfield 650 twin. Was a few weeks early, they don't land in the dealers till early February. Never mind the roads were dry, but it was bl**dy cold..... Wessa
100 miles round trip or so down to Cheddar, cafe pasty and coffee and then up the Gorge and back home. Too late to wash it but the bike is minging.
WTF Put that salad back in the garden, never show pictures of it on this site again yet fecking hippie tree hugger
The Speedmaster let me down on Tuesday, Battery was poorly so ordered a JMT Lithium arrived this morning gave it a charge and slapped it in. Started up second crank: happy days so should be able to commute next week and maybe get some miles in at weekend.
I think you’re being a bit unfair on your speedy there! Possibly the battery let you down! A humiliatingly public apology is called for methinks? Shame! Shame! Shame!
Littleade and I had a look at them at the Bike Show. They look decent enough style wise but as always with Royal Enfield, some of the parts and finish are cheap and nasty - especially noticeable are the mirrors, bars and levers. (and they're the bits you can see!) Probably cheap enough and supposedly coming with a three year warranty but you'll probably need it if the horror stories about the Himalayan and Continental GT are to be believed. 2013 Continental GT - and not the first! £5500 gets you a decent second hand Bonneville!
"I think you’re being a bit unfair on your speedy there! Possibly the battery let you down! A humiliatingly public apology is called for methinks? Shame! Shame! Shame!" Apology offered,Obviously my brain was a glass or two of red wine short of functioning correctly. Speedmaster exonerated. Let down by a Yuasa Battery and now proud owner of a Lithium powered Speedmaster.
Don’t see no humility there, have you sent the speedy flowers? Chocolates thrashed yourself thrice over with wet thrushes?
No Flowers, but I did put her in the garage overnight as it was getting cold and tucked her in and as a special treat will do a valve shim check today. If that doesn't do it I guess she may speak to a "divorce" dealer although hoping we can get through counselling
