    Hi,

I used to belong to a forum where members could drop a pin on a map in the area where they were located, any chance of it happening on this forum? It would be great for members to meet up for ride outs. Unfortunately I don't know what tool they used.

Failing that maybe an area in the forum where there are titles such as SE England, S England, Sw England, N, NW, NE Midlands etc etc where members can post where they are closest to.

    An Idea?! Good? Bad? DGaF?

Great idea, we just need a technically minded person to set it up which rules me out

Great idea. As a noob, it would be great if the pins were colour coded (noob, intermediate and experienced) for riders ability. While it would be great to go out with riders who know what they are doing, I think it would be less intimidating for the rookies riding together and less frustrating for the more experienced who want to stretch their legs.

Ha not me, when it comes to following someone...my Son for example on his Yamaha 125 YBR custom, I am OK on straights but he loses me on corners and bends. No shame and I am still upright.

    Good idea..............
Saw this just as I was going to suggest putting areas as sub headings on the ride out & events page.

Good idea for getting together for rides, parties, rallies etc.:)

Please continue with the basic Pin location idea, as the colour coded one is fraught with problems.

Great idea crispey - maybe we could arrange meetings around Biker cafes/meeting points (just like we do!)

    Nearest for me are:
    Loomies - West Meon
    Departure Lounge - Alton
    Station Cafe - Alton
    The Haven - Salisbury
Micks Burger van - Portsdown Hill

    Bit further away:
    Newlands Corner - Guildford
    Rykas - Box Hill
    Whiteways - Bury Hill

Think we need someone with a clue as to how to set it up.
That rules most of us out :D

The "www.triumph-trophy.com" forum use google maps to show member locations. I'm not sure how they have configured this but if we can locate/contact one of their site owners we might be able to establish how they have done it? Who are the owners of this site; they should be able to assist in getting something like this added?
