Welcome aboard. In another life I lived just beyond Hythe so I know Lymington and the Forest well. Lymington, it turns out, is the home of Gill Sensors and Controls that supplied some of the reputedly fragile ignition components on the earlier Bonnies. Mine have held up ok.....if you exclude the coil!
Hello Cuppa and welcome to the Triumph Asylum - Nursie will be round soon with your 'meds'. You have quite a collection, like the pics a lot. Many years ago I live on the edge of the forest at New Milton and kept my boat nearby.
Welcome aboard Cuppa. Tough decision. The T100 (900cc) has the same frame but lacks the twin front discs and outright power of the T120, but then it's lighter and turns in more quickly than the T120. When I ride my Street Twin which is lighter still than the T100 and has the same engine I wish I had the top end of the the T120, especially when over taking. When I borrow the T120 (I work at a dealership) I miss the agility of the Street. There's a trade off.
Hi rich, not ridden the 900 but hear what you say. I found the T120 a bit long and had to use my knees to steer the bike into tight bends. But it was good on the power so perhaps the 900 with a cam job may the answer. Have you had the any dealings with the company Tec bike parts?
Cupoftea. You see I don't agree with some of the comments but you have to make up your own mind. I found my 1200 really lacking for town work. Motorways were fine. The 900 has everything and overtaking no problem atall. It just purrs along. All I did to mine was filter k&n removed the snorkel and end cans. It sounded so good I didn't bother wit the Xbox. The street Twin I don't know as never tried one found them to be smaller than I wanted. You can be our tester and judge. Ride Safe Joe.
Welcome dude, we are not only neighbours but we share the same birthday! Hurry up and get that Bonnie, our numbers are growing in Lymington.
Well I'll try, 3x don't seem that interested over the holiday. I'm waiting to try the new speed twin.
Well I put my deposit down on the black Bonnie T120 with the prestige kit from the company Laguna In Maidstone. I think that my deal was worth it and its being held until the 2019 plate come round Has anyone delt with them? They want the balance before end of January which is a bit worrying waiting 8 weeks all paid up.
I hear what you're saying mate but I take it that's in order to get the deal now for the '19 bike. Not dealt with them but fingers crossed as a mainstream dealer everything will go smooth. Good luck, it's like waiting for Christmas all over again
