    Hi Everyone

Has anyone had a problem trying to get a sleeve RSU for a 2004 cast wheel tiger 955?

Brought it last Sept to do up and previous owner had looked after everything except for the lower rear shock bearing which dried out and dug itself into the sleeve.

Have tried everywhere to get one, Triumph have stopped making them and even Sprint manufacturing don't stock them. They have everything else and can recommend them for spares.

Anyone had this problem and where can you get a new sleeve?

    thanks

If the sleeve is no longer available then you want to take the knackered one to a local machine shop who should be able to knock one out without great difficulty.
Got Vernier callipers? Internal and external diameter plus length....Loughborough College?!

Loughborough College, that's where my son got my old Virago exhaust collector box welded up when he did a course there..

Just waiting for Sprint Manufacturing to get back to me as they are having a word with their suppliers as sleeve is hardened and ground. measured the OD with my old Imperial micrometer, 668 thou and and it translates to 16.96mm x 80mm long x 10mm ID should have stayed in engineering!

Thanks and will keep the info in mind.
