    Smashing paint scheme. The helmet really looks the business. Shame about the indents.

    Finished putting the Daytona back together and have replaced those bloody annoying faring nuts by the front indicators with wing nuts, so I now don't have to dislocate my wrist to get to the dam things on or off :rolleyes:

    After lots of prevaricating finally ordered & today replaced the igniter unit & lo & behold - yes she works !! -- Tucked her up to wait for the snow & ice to disappear, but she'll be out soon :)

    Thanks, I'm contemplating wether to just leave It alone as I seem to have been working on it for months. I think it would have been cheaper to send the helmet off to a professional!!

    Maybe the coating will harden off with time or maybe use an hair dryer to harden the coating.

    Out on the Explorer XC today. Did a circular run to Northampton, Kettering, Corby and Uppingham before returning home. The roads were pretty good and the weather cold but dry. :smile:

    took a 30 minute ride which ended with a 2hour clean an polish and then a coating of AFC, think that's it for the winter now :frown:

    T300 Workshop manual arrived in the post more or less never been used :biggrin:

    That's my bedtime reading for the next month then :wink:

    Managed a decent ride out last Thursday and came back in the dark just to test out my new clear lens headlamp on the Bonnie. What a difference from the original - now I can see!
    Short ride on Monday - sunny but very cold. may get out Thursday and so far weather for Saturday looks sunny.

    Went and had a look at David Lilley's in Ashford yesterday great place with loads of shiny new bikes and a couple of very nice special editions.

    Great staff and rather good coffee :upyeah:

    First ride this year :smile:

    Considering that by this time last year I'd already put nearly 500 miles on the America in January it's been a bit of a change not doing that mileage again.

    Only 25 miles over to Wessons Cafe at Horam for a bacon sarnie but nice to get out. Lovely clear day but very cold. My thermometer on the bike registered as high as 4 degrees at one point. I normally go via smaller lanes but today I kept to the main roads as the lanes would probably still have had some ice on them.

    Still, all in all a pleasant ride (although I came back with the sun full in my face which was not so pleasant).

    Only a short ride out today to Market Harborough. Roads were ok but it was pretty cold. Tomorrow weather permitting I'm taking the Explorer out for a run to Welshpool.:upyeah:

    Had a very enjoyable ride to Welshpool today. Rode only A and B roads giving the motorways a complete miss. Stopping at a nice B&B tonight. Tomorrow I'm heading up to Chester before returning home.

    fitted new black bar clamp. was thinking of a ride tomorrow but gritters out today so don't fancy salting the bike up. its either warm and wet or salty and dry. roll on the spring

    Not strictly with my Triumph but certainly for my Triumph. I had a new garage door fitted after the break in the other week and finally got a garage defender and borrowed an SDS drill to fit it to the concrete base. Hopefully I can sleep at night again now without worrying if the bike will be gone in the morning.
    Went for a nice little amble on the bike ,taking advantage of the sunshine while it lasted.

    Had an excellent ride back from Chester on the Explorer. Traffic was light and the weather pretty good.
