Welcome to the Asylum you should fit right in. To keep the inmates happy we will need photos when you get you're new bike. BLACK how cool Tucker
Hi and welcome Nik, good choice of bike, especially for regular pillion passengers. The time will fly with the expectations and good luck with your tests.
Well done Nik, you will not be disappointed I’ve had my T120 black For about a year now after selling my BMWGS adventure which was an amazing bike, I just got a little bored after five years of that, so in came the triumph. I have to say I have really enjoyed it. Mine was nearly new it came with the Vance and Hines aftermarket peashooters but like you I’m not keen on the look of peashooters so I will be swapping these out but because they are quite expensive not the most pressing thing to change. On saying that though, I keep adding bits and bobs feels like a bit of a payday project. great fun though! Welcome to the club
Thanks all, glad to hear of so many good experiences with the bike. I did talk to the dealer about the Speed Twin but I was keen to stick to the High Torque tune so that avoided that wait Anyway, Mod 1 passed this week with 1 minor. I only managed 49km/h through the speed trap on the avoidance after never being below 56 in all the training runs, typical. Mod 2 training next Wednesday and Mod 2 test on Thursday. I should have a delivery date for the T120 on tomorrow so it could be an exciting week!
Nik. Go for it. We will be willing you on. And your choice of bike and colour you will go down a storm on here. Ride Safe Joe.
Get in there!!! Passed Mod 2, 5 minors though, mainly due to overthinking indicating on roundabouts and one very last minute left turn where luckily I checked the mirrors as I was turning or it could have been a fail. The bike is at the shop (we coincidentally stopped there for lunch on the test day) so I managed to have lunch standing next to the bike which made it all a little more exciting.
Nik. We had every faith in you. Knew you would. Now get some gentle mile under you belt. And next spring summer you're of. Ride Safe Joe.
Thanks folks. I like the idea of the Gentle Miles, riding the 600 for the test I've realised I have an awful lot to learn before I'll be enjoying the full scope of what the 1200 can offer. I have really enjoyed the process of getting the licence and I think that will just continue as I ride the journey of experience. It's awesome that there seems to be a brilliant community here and I see there is no end of helpful information from people that have been there and done it.
Nik You cracked it. We were all there before. We all made mistakes we all had boo boo's and now we will watch your back for you while you come to join us as a fully fledged biker. And you will. I admire you for you determination. Regards Joe
