    Thanks

I’ve yet to see a single triumph while out riding. Love it and hate it.

I rode a Moto Guzzi Norge for a number of years and know exactly what you mean. I did enjoy not having a bike like everyone else but that also usually means a lack of dealer and friend support in times of need. After reading all I could find on the Trophy, I decided to go there again. The Trophy checked all the blocks for me so I took the plunge again. I've yet to run across another but it's okay. I ride happy anyway.

So I tried on some stripes and put about 1200 miles on it in the last 30 days. Had to take some pics in a cool alley I went by.

Also since last update I made my own tail tidy and removed the first baffle from the cans. Drilled three 1” holes in each secondary baffle. Looks great sounds amazing. Loving the ride.

Hi Bear, could you be more specific with regards to the baffle removal. Thinking of doing mine. Standard exhausts with baffles removed? How did you do that & keep the outlet tidy? Pictures of your mod would be very useful

I already deleted those pics from my phone but there is not much to photo. basically you end up with a small piece of round metal with a short metal tube running through it.

I used a smaller diameter hole saw however Its been found that a 1 3/4" bit is better as it fits just right within the ring. To keep it clean start slow until you have a nice groove. Its a lot easier once the groove is set. Use some high quality cutting oil and make sure you purchase a hole saw that is made to cut stainless steel. Also make sure you use a high speed corded drill unless you have a cordless that can spin faster. Even if it jumps around a little that area is only going to be covered in soot so its not life altering.

Ill take some pics of mine when I get home to show the finished product. Honestly everyone should do this mod. It has amazing results.

Thanks. I take it you removed each exhaust from the bike?

No I left them on. Easier to drill while they are mounted. I did cover the bike in a sheet to keep any metal bits from getting on the bike

Here are the pics I promised

You can see the first baffle is gone and I tried to take a pic of the holes I put in the secondary. The holes made a big difference in lowering the overall note and really made me love this mod.

Thought I would give a little more insight. Set one phone down 5 ft behind the bike with the decibel meter app on. Started the bike and revved it a bit before heading for a short ride during halftime.

Yes but it’s not for scientific purposes. If you want to know I have an iPhone 8 Plus and using the dB meter app. So if anyone has the same and wants to compare they can.

Average decibels before starting the bike hovered around 40

Hi Bear, not sure I welcomed you aboard but that is one sweet steed you have there, maybe take a short video so we can drool over the sound of those cans.

Don’t make it a bigger thing than it is man. Easy worthwhile mod. Should have come this way.

Can’t seem to make a video small enough to post on here. So I uploaded one on Instagram

Hi Bear, love the bike, first Thuxton I’ve seen in that red (except the new Speedmaster). I loaded short video on utube and then linked the video. Happy trails
