I know this has probably been asked a million times through different forums. I am looking for a advice on a sat nav for my ST like best sat nav, best place to fit and how to power it etc.
At the min I use my car Tom Tom but I am looking for something for touring in all weathers, but could easily be removed when not needed.
    Thank you in advance.

On my ST I bought a RAM mount system and fitted the handlebar ball joint on the front of the instrument cowl behind the screen, it raises the GPS to nearer the eyeline, RAM mount systems do a long extension and GPS mounting plate whoch makes life easier. Remove faring and route cable to under seat etc.

Used this for six years, the GPS mount was replaced by a Touratech secure adapter which locks via a key the GPS to the frame. i have a similar system on my TEX and only remove the GPS to update the firmware and software

All the ram mounts etc were in the box.Just run a wire to the battery and mount it on the handlebars(left hand side) leave the mount on all the time and just remove the sat nav.

I like the idea of how you've set it up on your ST. Do you have any pictures? Also what do you have any thoughts on the Tom Tom Rider v5?
