And you truly are a Brother. And we care. I would bet that there's not a single word on here that hasn't been meant and true and we will stand with you for as long as it takes to ease your Pain and sorrow a bit. We are there for you Bro and we all have been there in some way or another. I even have shivers running up my neck as I write you this message.
God Bless you All And Keep You Strong And Safe In The palm Of His Hand Till You All Feel Strong Enough To Walk Alone Again.
    Thinking of you
    Joe.

    Dave.
Take it one moment at a time. I found that when we lost our Mum that little things like cleaning my bike and decorating around the house helped a little. I went to see Mum just before new year I say this for the first time with a tear running down my face thought I was stronger now. I said to Mum what are you doing in here Mum I told you I was coming to spend the new year with you. She frailly took my hand and looked to the Chaplin and uttered this is my Son and looked at my Boy and said this is my Grandson. Then closed her eyes and God took her home. The doctor and Chaplin said that's what she was waiting for. Now my face is all wet but now I know she is in a great place. God Bless you Mum. And God help you Dave. Its hard I know but we must go on to celebrate the life we have and the one we have lost and miss.
    God Bless
    Joe

I think about my demise all the time....especially since I hit 50.....6 years later I am still forever convinced that the lord brought me here; (on earth not the forum dippy). And the lord shall take me when he is ready. I have had a few friends take there own life......mainly break ups with their companions......it's never a good feeling....thoughts and prayers

Hi Philip and thank you for your kind words. I do believe that we did have good times together, just not enough of them.

This is turning into a real life-lesson for me. No more holding back with the people I like and love - they are going to know for sure :heart::heart::heart:

So sorry to hear of your loss. It seems so many people especially men, find it difficult to express their pain and get support. Obviously, a kind and sensitive man. RIP.

I'm doing alright mate, thanks for asking. For a while there I was quite knocked about, so I appreciate very much you asking.

You get to a certain age in your life where quite a lot of the people you've known start falling and it does make you wonder what's next.

But today it's a sunny day and I'm about to go for a ride - so all will be better soon.

Just a quick update: John's funeral will be held at Lawnswood Crematorium, Leeds, on Wednesday 28th November at 13:40.

I'm trying to make arrangements to be there, but there are no flights available via Ryanair into Leeds Bradford or East Midlands. Might have to drive???

If anyone would like to send flowers please send them to John Spence at Thomasons Funeral Directors, Easterly Road Leeds. Alternatively, charitable donations to the mental health charity ‘Mind’ can be made to the same address.

Liverpool is closed to Ryanair now but Manchester might be a possibility, thanks.

Just checked, Manchester is out too, no flights.

I'm going to look into driving over now. At least with my own transport I'll be able to plan the timing better.
