    Hi
Took the plunge at now have a lovely low mileage 2005 carb bonnie, after having my BMW r1150r written off by a bus.
As it's my only transport and will be used for a spot of touring (I'm going retro in my old age) and need some 'hard luggage' solutions. It's got a rentec rear rack and I need a top box and mounting plate. Anyone got any susgestions?

I've seen the 'blaze' soft panniers and think they should fit the bill anyone got any exp of these?

    Cheers Chris

If you type Blaze panniers into the top right search bar there is quite a bit of info already on the site

Yep, Givi are a good buy without a doubt (I have a Givi top box for my America) and there is also Hepco and Becker and Kappa (I have a set of their panniers on the America).

    +1 Givi topbox.

should be able to fix a universal monokey or monolock plate to your Renntec rack.

monokey or monolock is your choice, I go with monokey but they tend to be more expensive.
I like the trekker boxes best (46lt for me).

By the way, on my Bonnie I have a Renntec rack and Givi 30 litre topbox.

Do not go to big with the topbox as your Renntec rack will have a weight limit and that includes the weight of the box

Norman Hyde does luggage for Bonnies. Can't comment on the quality, though. Have got Givi for my Trident 900, which has proved to be excellent over many thousands of miles! :upyeah:

Hi chris, rather strange but my last regular bike also was an r1150r before my bonnie!! They are a lot different although I much prefere to polish a beautiful bonneville than the German ugly maggot! (Although it did tour well) Eric
