  1. Plenty of reviews on line for these so just some comments on my experience to date...

Bought this to carry a helmet when picking up my 9yr old from school - helmet and jacket to school and school bag to home.
It carries the helmet in a soft bag that snap-hooks on to the back of the pack:

Not as simple as just stuffing the helmet in the bag but seems to work.
The bag has a hi-vis waterproof cover hidden away in the base behind a short zip - it just pulls out and hooks over the top of the pack:

Only problem I've encountered is the length of the shoulder straps. There's not enough adjustment in them so even on their shortest length they're too long - not major problem for me, I'm not exactly tiny, but no good at all when my son puts the bag on for the ride home. Queried the lack of adjustment with Knox via their website - but they couldn't be bothered to reply it seems. Eventually found a simple fix...

By-passed the strap adjusters with a couple of carabiners which live permanently attached at the strap upper attachment points.
Otherwise a fairly standard back pack - side pockets for bottles or odds and ends, plus a detachable bum bag with it's own belt but which could be attached to any belt.

Looks ok how much? Personally I hate wearing a rucksack but do have an old Hein Gericke one I use if needed (passed its prime)

  3. If you give 'em 50 quid they'll give you a penny back...

I also have a K Pack, good rucksack but I will point out that KNOX say the helmet bag is only for use off the motorcycle - a guy on another forum lost his wife's helmet off the K Pack on the road and it got smashed to bits - his words were its lucky it didn't hit anything or anybody else.

  5. Thanks for that H - meant to mention that and forgot. Knox don't elaborate on why it not supposed to be used while riding but one can only assume it's for the reason you mention.
Largely defeats the whole point of buying it though I think.
The helmet bag is held in place by 3 fairly sturdy snap buckles so I'm happy to ignore the advice, although the school is only a mile up the road....
