First car I drove was my dads Vauxhall Victor FB PWC234 on deserted Pitsea market site.
1st car was a 1957 (I think) Ford 100E with a sliding sun roof panel which was originally owned by a 50's female British Film star who I'd never heard of but my dad had.

Did it not rust away whilst you did your test?

Datsun just didn't realise the damp climate and salt used for their early cars. They learnt a lot quicker than the European makers how to stop it.

Remember the Alfa Arna, japanese design and Italian build!!!! WTF. Alfa design and Nissan build, now that might have worked. They were rusty by the time it spent 4 weeks in a field outside Hull. :confounded:

That's why it was called Sunny. If you took it out in the rain it dissolved :cold_sweat:

Here's a few of the 'beauties' I've had over the years :

    1st car? : 1962 Austin Mini van

    1962 Mini van.jpg
Mine was meant to be grey but was actually a patchy dirty brown (rusty)

    Next was one of these:

Mine had a 2ltr Vitesse engine in it. Unfortunately it also had a propshaft that vibrated like a bastid !

Put this one terminally in a ditch ! Twin 45 dcoe's and no handling :

    Followed by this !!!!!

Absolutely agree Ken (the 911); but what's worse is the Mustang convertible/ It was a Mach 1 and when you see the number these fetch - excuse me, I'm wellin' up !!!!

After my dad stopped using his bike to get to work, he replaced it with one of these. A Fiat 126 BIS.
Handled like a go kart apparently. But considering he was over 6 foot at the time, I imagine it was a bit cramped inside!
