I've only had my Thruxton 1200 for three weeks, the first thing I did was paint my spokes with ACF50 as I had heard various reports about them rusting. The casings also got a coating.

My T100 did the same. For now I use beeswax around the nipples someone has to jump on my comment now. But it seems to work so far touch wood. I purchased a block of wax left it a few days immersed in spirit wipe then used it like a polish and cleaned it of with a toothbrush soft of course. The t100 is a 2010 and so far it still good. just done the same with my new Bonnie.

Not my bikes they go straight in the garage and the other halves car stays out. Leave a bike out here where I live and its gone.

My Thruxton has been on the uk's roads for five months now and is used everyday for going to work and shows no sign of rust on the spokes or anywhere else come to that. I know we've not had a lot of rain so far since March but it's been through some heavy downpours, it's always wiped down before being put away. It will get a fresh coat of ACF 50 at six months
