    Hi all

Apologies if this is in the wrong place.

I am moving house from the Midlands to Northumberland and would prefer to have my bikes moved properly rather that trust the movers.

Anyone recommend a good bike mover and prices? I have a Street Triple and a Speedmaster which need to go.

Thanks guys, just had a quote from A2B and they have said it would be £342.

Will try the quote compare site now.

I used Baz at www.specialisedmotorcycletransport.com when I bought my bike. He transported it safely from London to the north of Scotland. Provides online GPS tracking as well. That price seems high, I was just under £250 for my transport.

How about renting a two bike trailer, about £50 for a couple of days, hitching up to removers van (assuming they have tow bar), get them to return trailer for a drink and Bobs your new neighbour

Yes thought about that and getting a tow bar fitted to the car and buying or hiring a trailer. Cost of tow bars and trailer too expensive I can get them moved by one of these specialists for less than the cost of a tow bar

If I hired a van, I have to leave a car In the Midlands as I work away from home so we have 2 cars.

Cheapest quote so far is £270

Don't fancy that idea, they need a big rig to move me and al we have in the house, don't trust them to move the bikes, they will move them but I would rather a pro bike mover does it.

I could ride them up but that is 2 return journeys and I have nowhere to store them atm. Garages are like hens teeth in Northumberland

Not too bad mate I'd say between £110 and £140 per bike
Used Route 66 a couple of years ago Leeds to Suffolk £103 don't know if they're still going though

Hi Pitbull, I used PJS Transwift 01902 881484 & 07831559538 a couple of years ago & he got it there & back safely. His name is Peter & based in Sedgeley I think? The CBX Club use & trust him that's how I got his number. Takes photo`s of bike plus a check sheet you sign your happy etc .He does "store" bikes too if that helps? All the best...…..I hate moving house:poop::poop:

    Thanks for the replies all.

It seems £270 is the cheapest for both although I see another couple of options to investigate now.
