    Hello everyone,
I am glad to get on the Triumph forum. I am thinking about getting another Triumph and thought I might start seeing how others are enjoying their Triumph 1050 and 1200 adventure. I currently own a 2012 800XC and need some more distance capability for trips.

Look forward to hearing any comments. Thanks

Welcome in Drift, I was told by our new Triumph dealer in SA that the new model 1200 Tiger is the their top seller so far it's that good, I've also seen a local review last weekend also rating it very high. Proof is in the pudding at the end of the day, see if you can't go test the new models, it could very well be one bike for all your needs.

You can't beat a test ride for a half a day to get the feel. Unless you are buying a Harley or hiring one can't do that unless you have had a licence for bikes for two years supposedly.

Welcome aboard Drift, I agree with above comments, book some test rides, what's good for someone else may not be the best for you so go take em out and have fun.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I will definitely take the advice of getting some test rides. I will start working on it. My schedule this last week has been terrible. I'm leaning towards the 1200..:p:p

Hi Dritt, Welcome to the forum, I had a short test on the 1200 Tiger when my bike was being serviced (they don't call the latest model Adventure anymore?).
Can't remember exact model but it had shift assist up and down and cruise control, electric screen etc, anyway for what it's worth I thought it was a great bike & would like one for 2 up touring, unfortunately the price tag put it way beyond what I would pay, I think it was nearly £17,000!!
Got a picture on my phone which I will add in a moment.

Welcome aboard Dritt. Enjoy the ride.

I've got pals on the Tiger Sport and on the new 1200. They love them.

Angus- that's interesting to here but I could definitely see the 1200 being a hit there. Any overheating issues? My 800xc seems to do better in the winter.

Hi Dritt, a mate of mine got one this past week and he didn't complain about anything, in fact he is very happy so far. I will ask him about overheating issues. Are they known for tendencies to overheat ? Regards
