Yes they are taking it into the workshop today to get it ready and have ordered the centre stand so they said with the work load it would probably the later half of next week. Yes it is a one of 59 limited number in recognition of the 59 Bonnies they also have a 1200 version similar numbers. As for my 1200 I can't put my finger on what it was but I did not get on with the bike even though it was faultless and could cruise all day comfortably but I was just leaving it sitting in the garage and using my 865. And to give a big credit to my Darling other half. She said if you are not happy with the 1200 don't just leave it there get something you will like. And now the big one she paid the difference for me as a gift she has done similar before but I thought that as I used to keep on about the 1200 she would be getting tired of the same / same old but no it was all her own words. Might have to ask her again to Marry me. The pic's and news will all come as I get used to the bike. And of course a big thankyou to Bulldog who went all the way to make me happy with the deal especially Jason on this occasion.

Met a guy recently who'd ridden the Thruxton 1200, ridden the Bobber and the new Speedmaster and loved them all. Then he tried the T120 and hated it but he couldn't say why!

I tried a T120 a while back, hoping it would be like my other half's 865 Bonnie (that I rode regularly) but with more power.
It did have more power but was a completely different bike. I think the combination of extra weight, less front end feel and possibly the engine feel with the different crank just meant I didn't enjoy it as much.
So I passed on the T120 and went for a Speed Triple instead.
I then bought my own 865 Bonnie last November as well :)

I have a T100 Black and love it for all sorts of reasons. As a second bike to a Thruxton R it's spot on. One of my favourite things on the T100 is the gearbox, it has a perfect set of ratios for everyday use and a beautiful clutch action.

I will second that. The T100 just feels right and as close to the T140 as you will get.

I have Norman Hyde Toga's coming with a de-cat pipe and power commander, looking forward to the change in noise and looks. I didn't realize how massive the OE silencers are compared to the original bike, truly huge. Somebody somewhere on a forum described them as 'over stuffed sausages' which is about right :p

I’m interested in the OPs feedback comparing the T120 vs the T100. I would have assumed they would be very similar. Same ergos, less power. Is the T100 different enough from the T120 to be that noticeable?
    I haven’t demoed a T100, maybe I need to!

As different as chalk and cheese in my humble opinion. I found the 12 lazy and hallow sounding. Great touring bike. but this 900 t100 alough early days just motors along even with standard pipe setup sounds good no up and down the gear box. The bike is exiting. This is just my opinion and i am not slating any of the bike its just how i felt personally but riders love both.

Just my view but I test rode a T120 and it just didn’t feel right at all ... more like the Harley Road Glide I had than the sporty Triumph I expected. I was looking to trade my 865 Bonnie and bought the Street Scrambler as the riding position felt just right and I’ve found the 900 motor is perfect for my idea of what a Bonneville should be...and near enough to the 1964 & 81 Bonnies I had years ago. Love the look of the T100 Spirit of 59, great paint job and excellent choice...lots of fun on the back roads

Thanks everyone. and I agree with all these comments I found the 1200 similar to my Harley and it sounded hallow even decated and around town it was up and down the gears all the time. Did see a black scrambler at Bulldog when I was picking this one up it had higher bars and looked really nice I was tempted indeed. But this 59er really pleases me and rides terrifically. But I wouldn't trade my 865 for anything as it is as close to the t140 I have seen and heard or even ridden.
