Clean it all overt with baby wipes then smother in baby cream to get it supple and proofed.

I was told that cows udder cream makes great face cream so I'm guessing it would be great as a leather softener and conditioner..never tried it myself though

Not only makes old leather look and feel great but puts that 'new leather' smell back in - for a while at least.

If the jacket has any scuffs or dried out bits I'd suggest treatment with the Gliptone cleaner first, then apply and buff off Mr. Bartlett shoe polish of the appropriate colour, then the GT11 Liquid Leather conditioner. Worth the effort.

Oh, and it's made in Britain. Just saying.

Imagine England but with proper summers where average year on year temps are over 30°.

The heat is more trouble than the rain to tbh - it dries the leather really quite quickly, so out comes the tub and we're good again for another month.

I live on the coast in Seaham,East of Durham, sometimes you get a sunny day and a sea fret comes in with the tide, (coastal fog) then you go inland a couple of miles and it's a beautiful day, so far this year it's been the best weather since 1976, hope it lasts a bit longer mate.

The Golden Lion closed in 2007, like most other pubs and clubs in the area they all went bust when the coal mines were closed , i worked down the coal mines for 20 years mate, and the last pit in Seaham was the Vane Tempest Colliery, I worked there when it was closed down in 1993, since then there's been more pub and club closures every month, there,s very few left that are not wine bars or restaurants now, Thank the tories for that. I was on strike for a full year against pit closures in 1984-1985 and I still won't have anything to do with the scabby bastards who went through the picket lines when we were on strike.

NAF professional equestrian leather balsam is the stuff I use, daughters use it on their leather saddles & tack, I use it on anything leather, just brilliant and thousands of horsey people can't be wrong.
