    Good afternoon all,

I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum.

I'm 39 and live in Wiltshire. I ride a 08 Speed Triple and love tinkering with it (I leave the electrics and engine builds out of it though) I also really enjoy riding it (of course) and that why its now got 30k miles on it.

I probably service my bike a bit too often but I'm always keen to learn how bits come apart and go back together, as I'm sure a lot of you do. I'm an engineer by trade and former military (15 years)

I'm going through my IAM advanced rider course presently and am always looking to improve my riding. If anyone in the Swindon area aver fancies a ride then give me a shout.

I'm lucky enough to have plenty of room in my garage so am looking to fill it up with more bikes as long as my boss is ok with it (wife...........obviously)

I look forward to chatting to some like minded folk about some fantastic machines

    Ride to arrive

    Nick

Hi Nick & welcome into the forum, nice picture, on point with the containers in the background, loads of advertising seems to be using container yards for their shots lately.

    Point to note
Check the wires under the ignition barrel, they tend to get rubbed and lose there sheath
Just wrapped mine up with electrical tape

    Thanks Angus,
I take good care of it. Was going to buy the RS but changed my mind after I got back on mine. Will probably run her into the ground :)

It's evident in the picture mate ! Yes the new RS has me pondering too and now that it's finally here and I can get a test drive in I am somehow reluctant to do so, well in fairness it's also finding the right time slot as I've been very busy at work lately. It's listed for 210K here by us, it is a lot of money and my 15 is mint plus I am only getting used to it now, sometimes one must scratch the itch, anyway we'll see ;)

I rode one the other week. It’s great and all. Rides really well, it’s solid and gives you bags of confidence it it’s abilities. I’m just no sure about all the electrics!! The TFT display is awesome though. Would be scared to death of getting it dirty too! Haha!

It’s a lot on money. Soooo many good bikes you could have for ¼ of the price. I got back on mine and instantly I fell in love with her all over again. My ‘08 is absolutely solid. She’s a s*** load of fun for not much money and I’ve not come across a bike yet that I want more.

Plus she’s way out of warranty and I do all the work myself (which is also awesome)

    Ride to arrive
