Just bought a complete 71' Bonneville from a buddy. I know I'm gonna need advice seeings as this is my first foray into the British vintage. Anyways thanks up front for the advice and help. Howdy from Texas
Hi, Ken and welcome. Just be careful regarding engine capacity. I reckon it should be a T120 which is a 650cc engine. IF it is an early T140 model the actual capacity is (from memory) 725cc or thereabouts. It was uprated to around 744cc about a year later. Sorry to be a bit vague but, as I said, I'm working from memory.
Ken. Welcome and the people on here are the ones you have to talk to. They have just talked me through my T140 77 model and behold its started and ran sweetly for over two days now I am hoping for a record with it. As I believe it was a renegade. Welcome. Joe.
Welcome too the Asylum you should fit right in. Too keep the inmates happy we will need photos. When you get you're new (Old bike) Ride safe Tucker
Sheeyit Howdy Ken - how's yuh Mom an' all? Love the Hill Country - whereabouts are you? I'm relatively new here, too, but can attest to the forum mmembers having a very broad spectrum of knowledge and experience of all things Triumph, including Meriden's finest. Let us know the details (frame and engien number) and some pics of the bike and I'm certain that the advice will flow freely thereafter! We can maybe look forward to seeing a picture of the bike outside Luckenbach Post Office some time in the not too distant? Ride safely. Regards, Adie
