I think it's great that you make such an effort on Mr. Noname's behalf.

I think if I had him I'd call him Noname!
Could be a great companion but, as you say, you'd need to put a lot of time and effort in with him, but you would be richly rewarded!:heart:

Good luck DD, I hope your pal finds another loving home for him, he must be very upset too at losing such a good dog. Best wishes to your pal.

Searching through my photo back catalogue I found this one.
    JESS 003.JPG
This is Jess, our European Eagle owl, she helped us raise money for our wild life hospital, here we were at RAF Cottismore open day, this picture was taken by an RAF photographer for the RAF magazine.
She was an enormously powerful bird, those feet could break a wrist but she was so docile she would sit on kids arms (with help) and have their picture taken with her.
There is another species identical to look at but a lot smaller known as the Asian Eagle owl, stands about 18" as apposed to the 2.5' Eurasion Eagle owl.
There are a few escapee's living in Britain, and even a few pairs that have bred, but they are not liked by farmers as they will take lambs, as well as hares, rabbits, Chihuahua's etc.
I will find a few more pictures of some interesting animals we had at the time.
Jess was a rescued bird as the owner had'nt got a clue on how to look after her so we too her in, she was 1 of 2 we took in but was by far the best and friendliest of the pair.

    That is one gorgeous bird!
A few years back we had a screech owl chick that had fallen out of its nest - I picked it up an raised it on chicken. Loved that wee thing!

    Thanks

She is a short haired Border Collie, we got her from a sheep farm, lots of energy and a fantastic family dog

My in-laws in Scotland had a cast-out - very nervous when he came, but settled down after a while. Lovely characters, the border collies!

We were out in the forest tonight - just lovely. Spotted a couple of roe deer, just stood there watching us.

Beautiful Border Collie, my favourite choice of breed, although we had a Greyhound who went 6 years when he lost the left rear leg, coped admirably!

I really do think that there is something uniquely pleasing about the smell of a wet dog fresh from the water.

Does this make me a bad person?:worried:
