Vassiviere is indeed beautiful with some great roads around the vicinity.

I'm really going to miss my summers down there now the old geezer has moved in with us here in Blighty.

 

I loaded the new bike into the van and took it to work with me. Then after work headed straight over to Santa Pod and got it scrutineered ready for racing tomorrow.
The frst time I'll ride the Daytona (other than 2nd gear through the pits to scrutineering) will be along the 1/4 mile flat out!

Should be interesting!

 

Quick ride to work this morning at 5:30 am, then a much needed long route home this evening. A great way to start the weekend!

 

So I'm guessing that'll be you 1st in ET Bike qualifying - nice!

Nice Sunday morning ride.

 

Went for a ride out to Thornby. Northamptonshire. Actually went in the car first in the morning, then back out there on the bike since the roads were good (so didn't have the beer while on the bike!). Great day again, but so hot.

 

I went for an early morning run up to and around the Surrey Hills, it was pure bliss. Stopped for a coffee in Midhurst and then home. I've just fitted TEC suspension front and rear and I cannot believe the difference between the TEC and standard, it's like a different bike. Thank you tcbanditUK .

 

Nice @Dozers Dad. That was the first time I have been actually. There was an old dark grey Triumph (with a kick start). Not sure on the model, but the tank was much closer in shape to your Sprint than a Bonnie. Quite similar to the old Nortons. In fact there was one of those there too, and a couple of Harleys, and an old Honda.

 

A high definition version of that in landscape would make a fantastic wallpaper on a computer screen, very nice photo

 

I worked at Thornby Hall when it was a children's home - I understand the Bhuddists that now own it had an open day today.

 

As it happens -yes I did!!!

 

Wow. What a few days. When the head gasket went on the Exploder, had someone said to me that I should buy a bike the day before the race, predict what time it would run over the quarter to within 12 thousandths of a second to qualify first and then defeat all comers all the way to the finals, I would have laughed at them and told them to come up with a realistic and achievable option.
But guess what? That's exactly what I did!!!!

I lost in the final to last year's champion Phil Pratt, due to a silly mistake on my part, but I am really pleased with how the weekend went.
The result puts me firmly second in the championship.

Indeed they did! That is why I went with the family in the morning actually to take a look (went in the cage). It was good, apart from the "charged" crystals for sale, and some questionable massage techniques (not *that* kind of massage). The drive back was so nice, I went back out the same route on the bike in the afternoon.

 

Had to stop on the way out of work and get a photo.

 

Who’s bike is it?

 

Swapped out the mirrors on my BPOS back to the original ones
Put the sprocket cover back on and kept the one I made for a souvenir
Put all the original bits in a box to go with the bike
Sorted out the paperwork,log book/MOTs etc and that’s about it really
Ready for Friday

 

Got to work this morning to find one of the teachers I work with was playing in the band that was there!

 

No, but Steve venables was back in the sixes at over 200 on his super street bike!

 

Amazing the speeds they're doing in Superstreet now !

After dinner and getting everything sorted, went out for about an hour in the evening.






Really love the fact that I can take this on roads the Daytona would be uncomfortable to ride on. On the other hand, over-taking isn't quite so care-free
