Hello, I just bought myself a Triumph Grinnall rocket 3 trike, I don't have a motorbike licence but I have a car licence which covers me for a trike, I'm having problems with insurance quotes because the dropdown bar on websites only ask what type of motorcycle licence do you have, can anyone suggest an insurance company that will help me get insured, Thanks in advance.
i would give Carole Nash a ring https://www.carolenash.com/uk-brand...MI-6j94arp2wIVDfEbCh3eZArcEAAYASAAEgItIvD_BwE
it might be an idea to go on some trike forums and ask who they are getting insured with? @Dozers Dad might know as his mrs had a trike..i've tagged him so he should be along sometime..it's a bit crap that they won't insure it cause you keep it in a wooded shed though
i keep my bikes in a wooden shed, although the wood is about 4" thick. i've been insured through Carole Nash in the past and it wasn't a problem they didn't ask any further when i said the bikes were kept in a wooden garage
I think it all depends on who answers the phone, I tried one insurance firm and they told me I would have to get a catergory 3 lock and chain or they wouldn't insure me, then when I phoned back and spoke to a different person they never mentioned the chain but quoted me £870, I hung up.
Going to wait till Monday and try the suggested sites and I'll let you know the results, thanks to everybody for your help, have a nice weekend.
I got it for £15000 and thought it was a bargain, I'm over the moon with it, excuse the pun (Rocket), I told them it was a garage and they asked what it was made of, as soon as I said wood they said no, I should have just said it was under a tarpaulin then they might have insured me..
Yes, it just came in last Thursday and I went straight down on Friday morning and it was love at first sight .
I was looking at a 18 plate Speedmaster there for £10295 with only 15mls on the clock Apparently after phoning about it some bloke chopped in a Speedmaster a Harley and a Ducati scrambler cos he needed money for his business..... oh how the other half live They only do high end stuff and have a very good reputation A mate of mine got his Rocket 3 off them and it’s a minter
I've been looking for a Rocket trike for nearly 2 years now and every time I found one it had gone before I got there, when I was doing the deal for the trike at Billaus the salesman had his phone on loudspeaker and every call was for the rocket, some as far away as Ireland, he looked at me and I said forget it it's mine.
Not being funny but have you got room for a steel container where you live? The sort that you see on building sites I work for a company that hires them out and I know if it’s a long term hire it can be cheap as chips Also I’m very good mates with one of the reps so could probably do something with the price Don’t ask me for a price cos I don’t know But if you’re trike would fit in and you got somewhere to put it I can find out for you Gotta be better than a shed? Insurance wise?
