Pillion Dilemma....(aka Excuse To Get Another Bike)

After several months of messing about we finally bought the kit for Mrs A to ride pillion. Although it's been years since she last rode it was a great success and will be heading out again very soon.
My plans to make some longer trips on the Tona have sadly been mothballed as we are about to move house, and much as I love the bike I know it's way over the top for 2 up pootling and solo Sunday rides on B roads in Devon!
I guess I could keep it if I went for something like an older Bonnie, but ideally would like something with a bigger midrange and not so heavy. If the Tona went I could probably get one of the new T100s, although I hear they're a bit underpowered - test ride to be booked.
So million dollar question for you lot - what would you go for? Heresy I know but could even be persuaded to look beyond Triumph......

Just had a thought - maybe swap Tona for an RS 955i........ Anybody have ownership experience with the RS??
