Ive had cheap shorty clutch/ brake levers on my China/Hong Kong on all my sports bikes & never had a problem with them. They were totally identical to the Pazzo levers i had on one of my Fireblades. I put them side by side with the Pazzo levers & they seemed like a perfect match. Fit them correctly, copper slip on the pivot bolt & the adjusters & check that you have a bit of freeplay. Once fitted check that the wheel spins freely with no biting & enjoy the saving you`ve made mate.
today i have mostly fitted my rack and plate for my top case.....and been out for a little ride, Still some snow about but not bad
I woke up to a blizzard this morning, not good as I was taking the America into Pidcocks for a service. Given a Bonnie for a loan bike, nippy & sweet handling machine, spotless when they handed it over, took it for a run up to the Peak District & returned it filthy. Made me smile.
Omg.... 12k+ bike fleebay parts..... No wonder you can afford all the gadgets SB lol I'm not knocking all import parts as I am sure most come out the same factory as the named ones... Just as you say check them over.... I personally wouldn't cut corners on any safety bits, brakes, steering, shocks, wheels, tyres, leathers n helmets etc... Cosmetics, fine but not stuff that I want to depend on most to keep me shiney side up and alive when they are pushed to the limit... That's why I bought British to start with... Lol But that's just me  :upyeah:
Today I got and Speed got our Conquest Carbon fix!!! Infills arrived and fitted after dinner, as ever awesome pieces, project Satin coming on nicely!! Thanks Steve :upyeah:
Workshy, that looks like the one they have me at the back end of last year.... There was me in two price race suit, sliders and all and they brought that out!!! I did not want to ride home on it dressed like a gimp.... But I have to say, what a bike.... Loved riding it... Not as much as my speed but a right laugh... Made me think about a Thruxton for the odd Sunday blat!!
Most certainly did! Was great for nipping about, turns in really well on that little front wheel, small & light with a great sounding standard exhaust , way better than the things fitted to the America which make no sound at all. But turn up the wick on the A38 & it wasn't happy, at 80 it felt, & sounded, like there was nothing left, the America will cruise at 90+ & still have a bit in reserve. My verdict great for hacking round the lanes & commuting but avoid motorways. Go blag a test ride Pig, keep it off the A roads & I guarantee you a
it's a non-fango one. Universal plate, well, so they say, as long as you make/adapt your our brackets had it on many of my bikes now and always been fine. The rack was on it when i got it, not sure but i think it's a Rentec one. I know lots of people think they look pants, but i find it so handy. Plus it's my only transport as swmbo has the car for work.. Need to get bits of shopping etc in there  Holds lots of sausage, bacon and pies..(what do you mean, there is other food:tongue Ooo...was replying to Mr Diesel, but forgot to press the quote button
that bonnie loks very nice, never tried one though. May have to go and hassle the local dealer
Go for it mate Jonny, most dealers are only too happy to give out test rides. Blagging test rides used to be a hobby of mine.
Today I had new boots fitted on the Dark... Dunlop RoadSmarts II... Bit better for this weather than the semi slick Pirelli it came with...
spent the afternoon fitting new bars. bar ends and heated grips to the trident. Looks much better now the gold bars and tatty grips have gone. Got a new front brake lever and an engine bolt kit to come. That and a good clean and polish should see him right for this year:biggrin:
Fitted R&G bar ends.. 1 side ok, 1 side knackered...the inner alloy screw thread came out with the 5mm screw holding the bar end cap on... Dam... Thought I know I'll heat it up.. Got the blow tourch out and managed to melt the alloy thread..Dam...not going well.. Got the screw out though...
