    Hi Paul,
I'm a newbie too, started riding when you did. Living in Worcestershire, about to move to Ledbury with my new ride, a 2017 T100 - currently stock.
Did you see the GMU Wales trip for July 12-15? I hope to be able to go - check it out.

Me and a ratbike CX500 in Mosel, Germany nearly 30 years ago. It vibrated so much I had to wedge my tongue between my teeth on the motorways. Mosel Valley.jpg The waterpump cover broke in Milan was Araldite'd back together, it had to be RAC-rescued back from France.

Hello folks, thanks for the welcome, a little more information, the Commando has been in pieces for too many years now, but I am determined to get it finished. It’s aMk2 850, now 920. The Trophy was bought off the 2nd owner and used every day for a couple of years as I had no car. I don’t get much time for riding it now as I’m now married with a son. I will try to post a few photos when I can. Paul

Hello again, has any body fitted k&n cone air filters to a 900 triple, if so do they need re-jetting and what size is a good start. I’m not looking for more performance, just to make it easier to work on. Any ideas welcome thanks. Paul

A few on here have done that, mainly those who have gone down the CRK cafe racer route. I don't recall any problems with set up being reported although (some - but not all) others in the distant past have apparently had problems. You actually need four new filters, the extra one being a smaller version to go on the end of the crankcase breather.
Me? I stuck a replacement K&N in the original airbox and have left it alone ever since, although the mechanic who serviced it last went to the trouble of cleaning and re-oiling it. The original airboxes are made of pretty brittle, and hence easily damaged, plastic. Be careful with it if you want to keep it!
