    Thanks Matt

I am tempted by the Kriega equipment. It looks like excellent kit but always good to have a real-world review from someone who uses it.

    Cheers Clarkey,

    I think I’m sold on this set-up.

Anyone know of any good deals on Kriega kit?

    Cheers

    Thanks Clarkey

I’ve done a bit of research online and come to the same conclusion.

I guess with their reputation for excellent kit they don’t need to discount it.

Do note, the 2016 Speed Triples don't have the loops under the sea to attach the Kriega bags.
I use the triumph tail pack, but tbh the quality of the zip is poor and fails, I am on my second after returning the first and my new ones zip has failed too now

Just a quick comment for consideration, triumph have currently reduced their own tail packs down to about £25, it's smaller than the Kreiga 20 which is a great bag by the way and I use it daily for my commute with laptop etc, but if you don't need as much space/can cope with the odd shape of the triumph bag, it may be worth a punt for £25.

Just a shame Red Thunder has noted the zips ain't great on them, I have just received mine so not had long term use from it yet. The zips didn't feel great on them when I opened mine but it does fit on the seat a lot better than the Kreiga 20 bag. I think the 30 would be too big to fit comfortably but haven't tried it yet!

    Thanks Richie

I have looked at the triumph tailpack but I think it’s too small for what I need.

I do have a small Oxford tailpack - free with a mag subscription - but it’s too small to be practical.

Anyone know how the Ortlieb (post 2 in thread) compares with the Kreiga bags?

No worries Gled, I have the tail of the bike off at the moment to fit my panniers and have just noticed some possibly better mounting points for the Kreiga loops which would be slightly wider so may give them a go! If they are better, it may make the 30L drybag fit sensibly.

    Cheers

I paid hell of a lot more than £25
Just looked on World of Triumph and they are still full price at £108 and £159

Hi all I want to have a small tail pack on the speed triple the cheap triumph one, on world of triumph,

Am I right in thinking if I order the tail pack and a new gel seat that is also on offer , I can attach the tail pack to the new seat and just swop seat to the one with the tail pack on when I want to use it,

I want to do it that way as I still take the misses as pillion on the odd sunday

On my 2016 Speed Triple, the tail pack needs the harness too £10. This secures the tail pack to the seperate rear seat and comes off with the seat
Your idea should work fine although it is just a matter of undoing thr two zips to remove the tail pack if you want to use the seat

Can someone please link the cheap tailpack...all I am seeing us the original prices...are they the same tail packs

Just found it, the lower price pack is on the Speed Triple up to and including 2015, mine is the 2016
I presume they are quite different and not compatible

Hi thanks for the reply. Do the zips hang out side the seat when you remove the tail pack or do you tuck them under the seat and hide them completely when not in use.?

On my 2016 tail pack (very different to the 2015) the zip mechanism, (the bit you pull) stay with the bag, the half of the zip that stays on the harness is just one half of the zip, the runner if you like and doesn't get in the way. I don't tuck them in or anything, they protrude probably 1 inch (tops) either side from the rear seat
