Are the bellmouths on Mr O’s carb picture the same as the parts picture above, just being pedantic they don’t look the same to me.

I don’t know some of you young ones must spend all day on google and Wikipedia ;);):grinning:

Don’t be cheeky. You’ve only got 3 years on me! Silver surfers rule!

I always called them bellmouths too......

Back in the day the parts were sold and known as Bellmouths

Velocity stacks should have 3 holes on the bottom ring below the bell mouth

Do the aforementioned bellmouths have built in mesh filters to stop birds, trouser legs, small furry creatures, young children, mopeds and scooters et al from being sucked into the engine? Those fitted to my '69 Bonnie did and all around me were grateful, especially my mate Trevor whose CB750 just couldn't keep pace with it, although he was/still is a big lad who would probably have just got stuck in an open bellmouth!!
Anyway, I thought that velocity stacks were simply posh bellmouths for fuel injection systems.
I do like a nice carburettor though.:)

Been to visit @Callumity today, lovely wee bimble (front wheel in the air a couple of times) up the Beeftub, and returned on Wanlockhead road. If you haven't ridden these yet, do!

    Before.

Pictures do not do it justice, come up lovely and even the wee priming buttons now move. Thanks to Callumity for his time.

    Gasket kits ordered.
