Eyup chaps, just seen some digital gear indicators on E bay, from China, believe it or not, for about £11. Anyone got any experience of these? Does my 2011 Speed Triplehave a spare plug to even fit one?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

    Eyup Foxy.

Bloomin eck. That's cheap. Gotta wonder at their quality/efficiency at that money. Post a link so we can have a look.

As per "spare" plug. I think they normally just plug into the diagnostic port thingy.

    Well done mate.

Ignore what I said about plugging into the diagnostic port. That ain't happening looking at your link. I'm sure someone who knows what they're talking about will be along soon. Looks like one of those Chinese buys that's too good to be true. One guinea pig required. :p:p

    Just do maths!

I know my Tuono does 85 in top gear at 5500 revs. I also know that 3 Rd gear means revs match speed, 3500 revs = 35 mph 'ish. Rest just work out.

Or get a gear indicator and don't worry about the maths?

Check with dealer to see if your bike has a gear position sensor (in starting circuit). If so, Gearingo should work for you. It's around $150, and just plugs into the OBDII port and done. On initial key-on position it gives you ambient temperature, available battery voltage, and then gear position. Designed on a T-Bird, but tested on many models and should work on all modern Triumphs. I've used one for a couple years now and it works great. Made in Canada. http://jack-be-quick.com/jack-shop/gearingo/
