This is the smaller of my two trailers, it weighs 45 kg empty and is good for 100/110 kg load.

Never really been a fan of the old rear light cluster on my T100, but love the style of the later type fitted to the Thruxton R and 1200 Bonneville.
I didn't want to go down the route of fitting an aftermarket type either, so I bit the bullet and bought a Thruxton R rear mudguard and light unit.

After a bit of head scratching and modifying I manage to get the rear guard to sit correctly on my Bonnie.
Some of you may remember my post regarding rattle can paint and at the recommendation of our very own Mr Crispey I purchased the paint and lacquer from L.E.Went.
After a few good coats of basecoat and several more of clear lacquer, a good wet, colour sanding, followed by a good polishing/buffing session with my little air polisher the results speak for themselves.

Maybe not to everyone's taste, but I'm very pleased with the outcome, I find the whole unit much more pleasing to the eye, also now have an LED rear light unit and the better looking indicators front and rear.
The whole exercise cost me approx. £130 all in, plus my time of course, but as a retired old fart I have in spades.

A few photo's for your delectation.

    Brian.

Took the RS into Bulldogs for it's 500 mile service this morning in a monsoon !
I was pleasantly surprised how rideable it was (admittedly I had rain mode selected) regarding response and traction with the SuperCorsa's and the brake feel.

They gave me an 800 XCx as a loan bike.
Fairly tall but lighter than I thought and a nice bike to ride, not as top heavy as the Tiger Sport but felt like it would be really comfortable over long distances with the seat, footrest and screen positions, although the 50hp discount it had over the Speed would soon become a bit more apparent on drier roads :p

I do think the top box on your carrier should remain a permanent feature...just for the laughs

Just fitted rear pads to my 1600 Thunderbird bit of a buggar but knew that as I'de read up on it and looked on line, Reason being caliper is slung underneath and behind silencer so very awkward especially getting the shaped r clip in to a hole you cant see position of at all, Everything I've read and seen say to remove the left silencer and bracket, didn't fancy that so gave it a go as is, awkward but do-able.

Dry and warm in the Lake District, so did a nice 90mile route... Grange over sands, Kirkby Lonsdale, Sedbergh, Kendal, Windermere, Ambleside, Elterwater, Coniston then home...

Photo taken from near Oxen Fell between Elterwater and Coniston, looking up to the Langdales

Had a run on the LT around the lanes of Cheshire in the sunshine, then back home put it up on the lift and cleaned the wheels. I did the rest of the bike yesterday.
