That's the demo, not mine, I went for the tippex version rather than the blackboard finish.....

TC will always be able to find a couple of quid down the back of the sofa for a bacon butty;)

Mine should arrive tomorrow at the dealers...and with a little luck, I'm collecting on Saturday (fingers crossed they can get it ready) o_O

One word of warning for anyone that's picking one up imminently...insurance is a nightmare, because although the bikes are listed, the rates haven't settled down.

My existing policy is £281 for the year and runs out in a couple of weeks. I'm being issued with a cover note for the RS so I can collect it, but they've declined to renew. I managed two quotes on The Bike Insurer comparison service...both at around £1,580. Triumph Insurance are currently at £725.

I can insure any number of super-naked bikes (S1000R, MT-10 SP, Super Duke) for around £300, so hopefully this will be sorted out soon.

I wonder why it doesn't have the seat cowl in the photos - unless it's supplied separately

Seat cowl was always an extra, bummer with the insurance.

It'll come with both apparently, but they can only fit one at a time :p

One thing I noticed, my S model from last year had the thin metal LED indicators as std. The RS has larger plastic ones fitted....

Indeed - they are now an option (which I’ve added) together with the carbon tank sides that used to be standard on the R.

    They give...and they take.

I asked for two front pairs at that price - and I more or less got away with it :)

You also lose the higher grade Arrow link pipe in favour of the standard version with clamps at each can.

I figured the gains will outweigh the losses...so really looking to finding out.

The bit I'm most looking forward to is the engine pick up.
It was torquey anyway, but with the improvement in the torque and how quick the revs pick up now , it should hopefully feel like last years Speed on steroids:imp:
