I like your thinking, I would come up myself, but I feel sure they would not let me into SUrrey, being a mear Janer from the Muff, Don,t worry guys he does not want a new bike, his Thruxton is class and I think Biglad will vouch for him!!!!!!

Hi all just heard back from Triumph and as yet they are not going to be producing anything to lift this model. So its back to your own jacking system.

My bobbins arrived today, so along with an R&G 'hooked' stand, and a 15mm pin in my Constands front headlift, we have lift off :)

Its so nice to be able to lube the chain properly :)

Aah, my previous bike was a Ducati. The Thruxton's stock single seat is like relaxing in your favourite sofa :)

My Missus got me one of these from Machinery Mart for Christmas. They were doing a "we will pay your VAT" deal so it came out around £85.00. I spoke with Triumph UK before buying & they said that it was Ok to use a lift of this type also, local bike dealers use similar lifts in their workshops. Used it for the first time today. It took a littlle bit of initial fiddling around to line it up equally under the frame tubes but there was about 1.5 inches of platform beyond each tube so it sat very secure Also a bit anxious during the inital lift but the bike came up off the ground nice and straight and well balanced. Lift comes with two ratchet straps to secure the Bike but I only used one as can be seen..
BTW The seat was £20.00.. Well pleased with both.. Bike Lift 1.jpg Bike Lift 2.jpg Bike Lift 3.jpg

    Hi Bonzo,
I was just searching for info about a front stand, to lift from the headstock on my new thruxton r. I’ve just purchased the R&G rear stand and bobbins and contacted Constands about lifting my thruxton and my bandit. They said their stand will work on the bandit, but not the thruxton!
Which stand do you use? Also I have the track racer kit fitted, so need to make sure it’ll work with that as well.

    Thanks

    Neil

    Thanks Bonzo,
Not sure if Constands said they don’t do a stand for it, simply because they haven’t tried one to see if it works. They seem to list them for individual bikes, but the one I liked on their website came with several size pins. I’m guessing any of them will do the job then???
This is the one I was thinking of

Looks like it'll do the job Neil as it comes with a 15mm pin.

A few bob dearer than the one I got though.

So where exactly does the stand fit into, it looks like you have removed the side casing where the front sprocket is?
and what fitting kit are you using as i can see there are lots of different fittings.
