Evening folks I just wanted to introduce myself, I ride a (14) Speed Triple but just chopped in my KTM SMT today for a (15) Tiger 800 xcx so i’ll probably have a lot of questions to ask soon particularly tyres for the xcx, it will initially be for predominantly road riding but possibly more of mix after a bit of training. Any recommendations appreciated. Wavy
Hello Wavy and welcome to the forum At present on my XC I’ve got Michelin Annakee 3’s which are 90/10 road bias and I find them far better than the original Pirelli Scorpions that the bike came with. You’ll find that with the XC range having a 21” front wheel you’ll not have the same choice of rubber that the Tiger 800 roadie models have.

Thanks Andy, narrowed it down to Continental Tail Attack 2’s, TKC 70’s or the Michelin Anakee’s I think.
Thanks Tiglet, it’ll be them or Continental’s, been doing a bit of internet research today, so I just need to be honest with myself about the ratio I need, i’d guess 80/20 would be a fair start point. Downloaded a green laning map of Kent today and there’s shitloads of it on my doorstep.
