I'm taking delivery at the end of the month.

On a test ride this week, I found:

    - easy handling
    - despite being 245kg (dry) it doesn't feel it (and I'm paranoid about weight)
    - beach bars, comfort, reach all good
    - suspension not really tested
    - excellent braking, cornering
    - despite going round roundabouts quite aggressively (for me!) I didn't scrape pegs. Not trying hard enough!

In summary, I thought it was great fun.

I had one out a couple of weeks ago and agree on handling and brakes.
Not keen on seats so ordered the comfort ones

Take delivery the end of this month so hope weather improves

Yes, the seats...I think I will put the Highway pack on it which comes with the comfort seats - are you adding anything else other than the seats?

I sure hope the weather does improve - I went out last night on the Guzzi for the first time in weeks. Cheers,

Hi Beerman I'm also in for a speedmaster to be delivered at the end of March, begining of April; waiting on the dealer to confirm actual delivery date. Can't wait to get my hands on the new steed........

Why would you get rid of your own personal custom ride, for some mass produced machine?

Hi Wessa, have you been for a ride yet? The only real drawback I've read about is that it's supposedly very easy to scrape the pegs. I didn't manage it. I've taken it as an indication that my riding style may be on the careful side!

Nope I'm hoping to get a ride when the weather improves. I've also read that it is easy to scrape the pegs, something I will look out for.

Picking mine up tomorrow, much of the same, I really did try to ground the pegs on a couple roundabouts out of curiosity but could not manage it. I would imagine you could do it but why! It is a super comfortable mile munching cruiser and I ordered mine as soon as I returned to the dealer.

Don’t forget the guys who report being easy to scrape the pegs are invariably bike journalists, who predominantly are into sports bikes, so not really a good indicator if your riding style is “steady away”.
