Hi there from Lancaster uk. I've just joined and was wondering if anyone rides the tiger 800 xrx low? I'm waiting for the delivery of the the 2018 model I've ordered but triumph seem to be dragging their heels. I'm currently riding a Honda nc750s but I'm eager to get my hands on my new tiger.

    Hope it's black.

Hi Tucker. When it finally arrives it's the white model. Triumph for some strange reason haven't delivered any 800xrx's to UK showrooms yet!

Hi & Welcome. While you're waiting you should go & buy a can of ACF-50. Best doing it before it leaves the showroom & beats the salt to all those nooks & crannies!

Hi Steve. Being only 5'5 and shrinking into old age i thought the low would be ideal

I'm definitely shrinking too but am OK on the Tiger - my mates Explorer and the Tiger XC were a wee bit too tall for me though!

Some riders mentioned that they're a top heavy bike. What's your thoughts on the overall package?

Hello and welcome! Sounds like a nice reide, enjoy and be safe. I just picked up my 06 scrambler and had to drop it 2" in seat height. I'm 5'10 and could only get one tippy toe on the ground, not a good thing. I decided on the Delboy approach and it worked out just fine. Again, welcome and ride safe!

Thanks for that mate. You've just confirmed what i thought and I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on my new bike. Hopefully that won't be much longer oh and yes i only ride solo as my wife says she'll Never get on the bike.

Yeah I would agree with littleade on this. Solo the 800 Tiger does everything you need it to and it is not at all top heavy. The Explorer is a different beast and my mate now wishes he'd bought the 800 instead. I suspect if I was to spend any time two-up fully loaded touring though I might look towards the 1200 engine.

Hello and welcome to the forum :)

Tiger 800 xc owner here, top heavy no, but I believe the Explorer can feel top heavy as a few have already said.
