Weather! It's not all blue sky's and sunshine have you ever been in Spain in January or February it's bloody cold and the houses are built to be cool. I,m not sure if I've still got it but I'll try and find the video of a Gotafria we had one summer it was like a monsoon a river flowing down the road with lumps of tree floating in it. The same year there was 4 inches of snow in Madrid. In no way am I trying to rain on your parade I just want you to see the big picture and not get ripped off by some sales rep selling "living the dream" .

If you don't mind me asking are going to work over there or will you be in a position where you don't need to work? I only ask as I have first hand experience of how difficult it can be.

Hope it all works out for you and if I can help with the legal pitfalls give me a shout. Not all but some of our Spanish friends are experts at financial trouser removal! an example when we moved into our villa the cheeky robbing builders "Justo Quesada ltd" wanted a 1,000 euros in cash for the Iberdrola (electricity) and Aguaquest (water) connections I refused after doing my homework, as I remember it was around 85 euros for the two connections. The 1,000 euros would have gone in some ones arse pocket for sure hence the "cash". They got a bit upset and at 3.30pm on the Friday the builders cut off my water supply, it was only turned back on when I stormed the office and threatened to shake hands by the throat with the boss. Don't let this put you off though.
