I use the original triumph rack for the 2003 ST that has also a dedicated seat with a waterproff soft bag on it. But this summer I met a guy with the same bike and he fitted a givi flange on that rack to mount a givi top case

 

Had a Renntec rack on my '02 Daytona 955i if that helps.

I'm assuming that the fittings will be near enough identical. May not be though!
