    Had my rear shocks renewed by Triumph under warranty a few months ago. Throttle bodies tarnish if left wet. Cleaned mine with Autosol. Bit fiddly getting into all the nooks & crannies but not had an issue since. If out in the rain :sob:, just quickly wipe down with absorbent cloth when you get home & you'll be ok. You're right though one of the best bikes I've ever owned

    I did blow it down a bit, with my compressor, but I think I’m gonna go down the hot blower route, so it’s completely dry.
    I paid £400 extra, for the black cases, but really glad I did, as the originals seem to pit real easy and I think the black look better
    I really fancy the black wheels, but not at over a grand!

    Jeez these Thruxtons are hard work!
    First it was polishing the engine casings....
    Then it was rusting spokes.............................
    Now is fur removal.............................................

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:o_Oo_O;)

    "Chillin!"

    Yeah but don't they look fantastic when you've cleaned it. I've said this before & I'll say it again, I don't think they are any more hard work than any other naked machine fitted with alloy components & spoked wheels

    Only in the rain, which north of the border is a problem but not down south surely. I've only carried out 2 deep cleans on my TTR in 12 months (6000 miles) still looks fantastic. Granted it's not a bike you use everyday in all weathers

    go to central wheel components and they can do that and relace with stainless etc and have the tubless done at the same time ,and a lot less than a grand

    Hi guys, i live in Tasmania and have owned many bikes even one of those American things once with yards of chrome and after 18 years it still looked new. Our winters are not as damp as yours but still pretty bad for bikes. Religiously every start to Winter i spray down my T100 from top to bottom with wd40 and all the alloy and engine parts on my "R". Start of Summer ,degrease and dry off, coat of polish and looks like new . Just my method.

    Just thought I'd pick a few brains ( I know, I'll be lucky on this forum especially on a Saturday night!) met a young man today who advised me of an issue with Brembo Master cylinders, where the plastic outlets crack resulting in brake failure. He was not sure if this affected the TTR, but certainly is an issue with Ducati. He has a friend within the group who has expressed his concern about the number of motorcycles out there affected. Any views / knowledge / info on this?

    Having looked on line, it would appear to be the internal piston that could crack leading to brake failure (yikes o_O) Not at all clear which m/cylinders are affected. Will contact my dealer & report back

    Yes I read the Brembo statement, however if you read the India Report, some Triumph models are affected :sob: will still contact my dealer & get an e-mail for evidence, in case the worse should happen. Hopefully this will put any uncertainty to bed once & for all.
