I've just been looking at the web site and it says you have to be a member of the caravan club to use it,it's not clear if this applies to tents though?

Too bad it's on week days, I would have loved to join.

I might see where you are at on Sunday the 13th and try to join for a few miles, but on these months it will be all very 'last minute' for me.

Keep up Wayne, Ken's already in our party - travelling mob handed to be safe ;)

I'm looking at a stop over near Brampton which is a similar distance as Bellingham, so 8 hours for Ken will be the max. Still a fair old trek, but time passes quicker when filtering that A1 together.

A few of us are going to be in the Brampton area on the Saturday evening then travelling over to Tyndrum on Sunday via Dumfries and Ayr for the crossing to Dunoon. Then either Loch Lomond or via Inverary to Tyndrum.

Either way will be great Rich, the Inverary to Dalmally road (A819) is one of my favourites it's only about 15 miles but full of bends and it's usually quiet:)..if you go by loch lomond you will go over the "Rest & Be Thankful" (A83) and join Loch Lomond at Tarbet being a Sunday though the Loch lomond road will be busier..both routes are a similar mileage about 205

Yeah, I was planning to do Tyndrum to Patna via Dalmally and Inverary last August to have a cuppa with Gary but I got caught out by the monsoon season.

Thanks everyone for prompt payment:) Sunday, Monday & Tuesday you pay on arrival.
    Sunday hostel is £20.00 pp
    Monday hostel is £24.00 pp
Tuesday hostel they had a one 5 bed room with an en suite at £27.00 pp
and one triple room without an en suite at £22.50 pp..I'm thinking it would be fairer if we all just pay £25.31?
