Has anyone got a more embarrassing first bike than my Puch flying banana, picture below is not the actual one, mine was actually banana shaped when I had finished with it :p puch-vz-50-3p.jpg

No, that’s quite classy. My first prang was a full throttle excursion on a Puch Maxi into a rose bed. I overestimated the coefficient of friction of freshly cut grass......

My first bike a Puch Flying Banana, the only moped n the market that looked like a real motorcycle. Unfortunately could not hold a candle to the FS1e's performance & handling was a bit suspect. Show but not a lot of go. Having said that I loved it & the young girlies at the time were really impressed. Passed my test & bought A Suzuki GT250 in Gold!

Honda H100SII. Would not go above 50 without shaking so badly I had to back off. Whiskered its plug every 50 miles or so making me think something was being worn down inside and because I could not cane it for the vibes the baffles had to come out every month to be blowtorched clean or it choked to death.

But it got me mobile and it got me through my test nice and quick to be replaced ASAP by a Suzuki GSX250EZ.

BSA Batman ridden after school on the tracks of the Blundell estate unknown to my mate John's dad who owned the bike and worked on the estate. Right hand change and 3 gears.
    Happy days.

A 50cc Suzuki Sportsman was my first bike. Apparently I looked like a pea on a drum. The 154cc Honda C95 (my one and only Honda! Is that normal?) which replaced it was, I'm told, a much better fit!

DD.....I'm glad to be off to our place in Antigua for a month tomorrow!
All that hard work sure aged me prematurely, you can see it in my face.
But hey! who worries about a mush, its paid dividends..... soaking up the sun, drinking rum....... while you are making shitty top box plates!
