Brake Upgrade

I got the Honda 3 pot on my Thrux. Put a list of compatable hondas on here somewhere

 

Fitted a Pretech last month, transformed the mediocre OEM fitment

 

Well not sure really due to them being on the bike when I got it, also ricor intimidators in the forks so that improves things as well. With the 2 the bike stops very well even on bends and having ridden standard America’s and thunderbirds it’s a lot sharper than them but could be a weight thing. I had 1 guy chase me round Kingston cos he wanted to know where I got them.

Mines off the cbf1000 and is a nice blingy gold.

Yep you are right it was expensive, £312 and another £60 for braided lines. As I intend to keep the Bonnie, been spending way too much on upgrades

 

Actually not as bad as I thought. Worth it for the extra confidence and safety it brings I imagine?

 

I opted for the Pretech when I had my air cooled Bonny.
When being deliberately stupid I could lock the front wheel using just one finger. Straight out of the box it was good but it took a lot of careful work on the fork lugs and shims to sit the calliper parallel to the disc in both planes for absolute braking efficiency with all six pistons pushing square onto the disc.

 

I've been thinking about this mod for a while but not sure of correct model for scavenging off. Some of my queries would be:
Do you happen to know the Honda part number?
Are the calipers off ABS or non-ABS, or either?
Do the calipers fit without mods to hanger?
Noticed some on evilbay have dual banjo fittings, are these O.K or not?

Anyone else have any info on these (Honda) calipers. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to all.

I have a CBF1000 caliper on my T100 and it's twice as good as the standard, probably more so as the standard is piss poor. I bought one of the sets in the ebay listing above for my SE and it is fantastic, brand new and massive improvement. If I was buying again I would buy the one from Italy everytime, don't waste your money on Pretech they are way too good for the performance of these bikes.

 

Will this fit the 17" mag wheel SE or are they different from T100
