    Yo,
Ain't it marvelous that you can't get arrested for what you are thinking? In this PC world (and I don't mean computers) I would be arrested for my public comments to one of my best mates when we served together in the Paras. Democracy my a**e as Ricky Tomlinson would say! No longer do we have freedom of speech. Muslim comments I thought were spot on one brush etc, but don't you think it's strange that the religious leaders don't come out and condemn the fanatics.
Rant over back to Jurasic for to feed the Velociraptors!
    Thank God for the bike!
    Cheers, Pete

Yes my tin of Quality Street have nearly gone (much blame must go to the wife). I think a trip to the supermarket is in order soon to see if there's any cut price bargains to be had. Easter eggs are a definite "no no" though, even after easter at reduced prices. There's just no substance to them. Now, if the chocolate was an inch thick ! :D:D

Yes thats the plan.Take you away from the loving and giving, by boring you to death and then all thats left is getting and spending your money. There is no honest emotional holiday left in this country. By the time you get to Christmas, well. Merry Christmas everyone :).

Got a letter in the post today from 'Oban Justice of the Peace Court' with the outcome of my speeding incident back in Sept. They have decided to give me a DISCOUNT on the fine.... £400 down to £266 and a DISCOUNT on the penalty points.... 3 instead of 4. WTF is that all about ? Who do they think they are ? DFS Sofas !!.... have I been a good boy lately or what ? have I eaten all my veg and tidied my room or something !!! Is this to make me feel better because it doesn't. Three and a half months after those two traffic cops dived out the bushes to pull me over for exceeding the national speed limit I am still pissed the fcuk off. Happy New Year everyone..... well everyone except those two *****. Rant over, should have calmed down by the new bike season in March.:D

That's a bargain! If you'd have been down here it would have been 5/600 quid and a month's ban.. If it was North Wales probably life.
A bit sneaky though not being in plain sight. Best of luck for 2018.
    Regards, Pete

You are correct - in Wales they like to make an example of bike riders. Local press etc etc. I thought hiding practices were prevented.

In klms that's 45 klm over the limit! Here in Australia in most States that could get you locked up !! It would cost you a few $thousand$ and loss of license for up to 12 months possibly more, and that would be a good result ! Without a legal rep of some kind it would be impossible to guess what you would receive.
It's not accepted for Police or Radar unit's to be hidden/hide but it still happens.... !

I’m led to believe, by an old documentary, that there is a special Australian police for the road gangs and speed freaks you have out there???

Sorry mate, take the medicine. I know we all speed on occasions, myself defo included, but we all know the risks of being caught.

One of the reasons I bought an unfaired motorcycle, it's so easy to get carried away when protected from the windblast. Anything over 80 becomes a bit of a chore. Still have to be attentive to town & urban limits though
