What this reminds me of is the miners strike and the way the Police Force of Great Britain were used to intimidate them to force the agenda of the government of the day.
Don't forget the bath in front of a open fire And the old mangle and wash board. Oh happy days . Also bread and dipping. I could go on and on all day.Lol Tucker
Bread and dripping...... not sure about "Dipping"? Do you remember the the jelly in the bottom of of the dripping..... the shit we used to eat in those days!
Beef dripping sprinkled with pepper, yum! yum! Higher calorie count than butter, but soooo tasty you only need to spread it thinly. Bring back chips cooked in beef dripping - so much tastier than any cooked in oil.
I still have toast & dripping, love the stuff, from beef, pork, chicken and looking forward to Boxing day's turkey dripping! The jelly is often as good if not tastier than the fat too! My dogs like to share it with me too, who would deny then a bit of the good stuff?
Oh no, Greyhounds have manners, but how the hell do they know, in the preparation stages, they are getting some? They get exactly the same as us, (Minus the sprouts!), just before we get ours then they sleep it off and we eat in peace!
Ah ..... Frickley Colliery, South Elmsall. Sigh! A mate of mine from school lived around there and would regularly sign me in to the Pretoria W.M.C. when I went over to visit. Happy days. Not been back that way for years ... I bet it's changed a lot!!
Staying in Westbourne over Christmas - looking after a little dog called Cocoa. Damp and gre, plus bike is now filthy but no cars at all on the B2146 from Petersfield - fun times!
Just drove home from sale, m6, m42, M40, a3 what a pleasure didn’t need my brakes from NEC TO A3, very few people lane hogging and hardly an artic. In site if only it was like this everyday!
Marty Feldman, one of my earliest recollections of a real comedian, such a shame he went so young. I used to laugh at him, that's when my dad started to worry about my warped sense of humour.!
Done b@gger all on the bike for a month. Having bit of trouble with the old health which has kept me off the bikes; weather hasn't helped either. Roll on some warmer dry weather........ Wessa
