Hi fellow Triumph Garagistes(As in very clever, and very British in doing things. ie, repairing broken things, with other broken things, and not moving out to the workshop until tea number 2 is in the cup.).

Is there any other shock that fits the gen2, or is it, simply fit one of those sexy, exotic, work of art, highly expensive ones from Maxton, ohlins, Wilber etc..
Or shall I just clean it, inspect it, replace the rusted spring, with one rated more for the Comfortable man, and just refit and forget it, until next winter, then probably do it all again...

Why not see if it can be rebuilt.I replaced a Sprint RS shock with a Hagon and I loved it.

check rebuild costs first as it may be expensive the hagons are well rated and cost effective,my zrx1100 was cheaper to replace than rebuild you maybe the same,if upgrading nitron shocks are excellent and not as dear as some others.

I can get a bit of discount on YSS.
If you choose this option give me a pm

I would even consider doing suss linkages and hub while apart, there rarely get done but should be every 2 years.

Reg Recs give many problems on this model. If its not been done may be worth changing it to a MOSFET type.
