Advice - Street Triple R Or Rx

Here we go......this is how I bought her....all standard apart from Triumph frame sliders and R&G tail tidy

I'm currently working on adding some goodies to her . Hopefully by next week she should be ready

Just encountered a problem this evening. Removed the R&G tail tidy to install triumph led indicators. And now my brake light stopped working . The Indicators works with correct flash, tail lights works fine and the number plate works fine. Checked the connections and everything seems good. Checked the fuses and all good. Tried both the front and rear brake and no luck. Removed the rear brake pedal spring to see things and nope. Thought the rear brake I'd constantly on, so thought by removing the spring taking the load off might show something. No luck

I don't think it's the switches. I mean both front and rear going off together. ....I don't think so. The parking lights are all working. Just not the BRAKE LIGHT

I'm baffled

I'm sure I'll figure it out. It's annoying when it comes to electrical

It's is very nice. Unfortunately my budget wouldn't allow it. So settled myself with the 675R instead. I can't wait to complete all the upgrades, wait for some dry roads and ride that motor

The brake cable runs under the black tray. So I'll need to figure out to remove that.

Electrical is never my fort. Well let me dive in n see what the fuss is all about.

I've ordered a factory service manual. Hopefully it should be with me anytime now.

Brake light issue sorted .

Now time to get busy with upgrades

 

Bought some Triumph barend mirrors. I was told it would fit my model as long as it is 22mm

Anyways I received the mirrors todat and it wouldn't fit

The thread is too small. So now I need to go to Triumph and get it from them and it's not going to be cheap

I thought of drilling the mirrors hole to make it slightly larger then decided against it.

I believe the one supplied to me was from a 2012 model in immaculate condition.

So annoying. No worries. Will eventually get there

My work colleague used his mates machine shop around the corner n did a great job and wouldn't take any money off me. Nice and clean job. The bigger screw fits in nicely. Just need dig through my nuts and bolts box to source the right length

Tomorrow the bike is going in for Arrow Tune with Triumph Dealership. The weather is meant to be nice and sunny. So I should get a good run providing the roads are nice and dry. Hopefully I shall get some pictures posted

Right......Got to the dealership in one piece. I am not exaggerating but damn....I love this bike. On the way there the performance was a little sluggish. But after the tune.....very responsive. On a nice stretch did some runs and there are no lags as she quickly climbed through the RPMs. Didn't get to test the handling as the roads were damp n crap. But I'm sure she will ace that department.

I'm not saying this to justify myself. Not for a one second I missed my litre bikes. Now that's a BIG relief for me. The throttle response n the sound is very addictive.

As long as your not planning on not doing anything above 100 mph. ....she is an absolute fun.

Overall I am very content. I still need some more seat time to suss her out. So far so good. Thank you all.

I am hoping to get QS soon and a ceramic coating which would last minimum 3 years. That's what I been told but I need to read into it.
