As the mrs and I often ride out together we have been considering some sort of Blutooth intercom. Been looking round and researching for a while now and have finally settled on a pair of Interphone F 5 s. Anyone had any experience of Bluetooth coms? Think its going to take me a while to figure out all the finer points of the system but managed to fit both headsets into our helmets, the stereo Earphones fitted neatly in the recesses of helmet liner, with the microphone velcroed in the front of the full face helmets. The controle unit fits neatly on a plate on the left hand side of the helmet with a one finger controle. Had a brief try out at home and the system links fine with my HTC smart phone which I also has a sat nav on it and plays music. I can answer the phone by just saying hello and the system tells me who is ringing if their name is in my phone book. One press of the main button and I am in intercom mode where you can just chat normally and you can link more riders to the system if you are riding in a big group. Pleased so far but need to see how it works on the road. Range is supposed to be about a mile, the battery should last about 10 hours in use, standby is several days , re-charges using a USB cable which also updates the software .
I just use Autocom with a Motorola radio.. It's hard wired to a unit under the seat... Got it second hand from EBay.
Hi mate , looks promising will look out for one as its been on my mind, I will google it thanks pistonbloke !
There must be more room under the seat on the newer models - there's room for about three eights of four fifths of firk all under mine! Not even room for a map!
I use my tank bag most of the time, don't like to ride with anything like keys or metal objects in my pockets, just in case the worst happens and I end up sliding down the road. Can highly recommend the Bags Connection tank bags that attach to a ring mounted to the filler cap (no magnets to scratch the tank)
Sena SMH10 great sound BlueTooth fixes to your helmet no wiring to your bike had it now 4 years no probs .
been looking for an intercom, but I only want to be able to use it as rider to pillion. I have no need for sat nav, if i'm on my bike I certainly don't want to talk on the phone and I never listen to music on the bike, just like my own thoughts and the sound of the engine. Trying to find one that just does that seems to be a pain in the arse. Oh for the good 'ole days, but that one got old and worn out... Anyone got any ideas as to what's out there for the technophobes
I heard the Scarla rider is good... Bluetooth and easy to fit... http://www.cardosystems.com/scala-rider

I was looking at these, will they connect through blue tooth to different manufactures units? My mate has the shark unit and another mate has the Schuberth one, I want a unit that will com to them. Thanks
