I've put you on the list. https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/forum-international-trip.10665/page-9
We went to Germany this September. Weather wasn't great but we had some great riding. Stayed at Mehring on the Mosel and then Seebach in north Black Forest. Tremendous sharp curved mountain roads if you keep clear of the B500 which I reckon is over rated. Then on to Wolfach and Freiburg and beyond. Returned via Rudensheim on the Rhine to enjoy weinfest. All in all a good run.
These festivals are fantastic fun with a great atmosphere. You have the larger ones at Cochem and Bernkastel Kues but the ones in the smaller villages are just as good - they more or less close the place to traffic and set up trestle table bars and food stalls everywhere. You pay 2 Euros deposit for your glass and off you go! German style wine tasting - you get one of these each! Hungry? How about a metre long Bratwurst? Warning! buildings may begin to look a little wobbly!
