    DAMN/BUGGER/BLAST
Got to work this morning and got the sprocket cover out
    Looking really good :)
Until I started handling it :(
The paint I applied is flaking off on all the parts that I filed and sanded
Didn't use a primer and don't know if it needed an acid etch or something
Gonna take it to a paint shop around the corner and get him to do it....have used him before and know he does a good job :p
My new tyres keep getting pushed back down the list..,,bloody bike

Could be worth popping over with it and having a word, as DD says they may take a look at it and then of you, - and do it for next to nowt.
Put on your B.P.O.S. face lol xx

On bare metal you'll need to acid etch it first, even just priming would have been better than nowt, but acid etch stuff is the way to go, especially with aluminium. Used it on the MG when I repainted the front crossmember, and when we resprayed the car, if we had gone through to metal, etched it first before putting on primer.

U-POL is good stuff, but it ain't cheap for a one off job. I usually keep a stock in of primer and satin blacks etc.

@Dozers Dad - as there is no heat joining and only hand tools, and in light of the poor finish - C+ is the best he's getting !!!!:p:laughing:
