If you expand photo looks like fumes from pipes - maybe just me. Do I need to get a life? :worried:

    YES.

I had been sat next to the bike for a while by the time the photo was taken, so bike wasn't running.

Are they likely to write it off? What outcome are you looking for? Not sure I would want it back after such a major impact.....

I want them to do something.!!! Bike still sat in my garage. MCE are feckin useless when it comes to making a claim. They are just a call centre to take your money. When it comes to dealing with a claim, they pass the buck to claim companies and solicitors. Wankers.

It is really frustrating; they are keen enough to take your money, but just mess you about when it comes to your claim. Pants I say.

Take the time to remove and extra fittings or none standard parts that you may have fitted. If insurer can get out of a claim - they will

They are all fecking useless when you wish to claim! If the bike had been recovered to a place of storage, your claim would have been processed by now. Worse place for bike to be is in your own private premises. They know they will not have to pay storage charges.Do they know that the bike is in your garage? If not re-recover it to your local Triumph dealer, they will start proceedings because they will not want to pay storage. Ask the dealer to quote for repairs & charge for storage. (Actually re-recover it anyway to speed things up)

So in the real world if you had to just 'make do' then what needs replacing and what can live again on a misers budget?

Not quite right,,,, a friend of mine slide off his Aprilia and both his bike and him ended up under a stationary VW Passat.
Luckily he wasn't injured badly, just bruised, his bike was a mess and couldn't be ridden.
He got a lift home in a van with his bike in the back.
Within a week an insurance accessor had been out to view his bike at his home and declared it a write off and within a couple of weeks he got paid out in full.

The name of the insurance company,,,,,,,,, wait for it,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Carole Nash :eek::eek::eek:

Also unless the insurance company agree to Mr O now taking his bike to a Triumph dealer then the storage contract will be between Mr O and the dealer
If it had been recovered and taken directly to a dealership then that's a different matter :)

There's was no damage to the exhaust! LH pannier / footpeg/bars held the bike up. I was flying through the local scenery at the time, so unsure of the actual sequence of the bike falling over - post impact!!!!
