A long as it doesn't conflict with the Tokyo Olympics as I am hoping to go. ( as a spectator  )

Have filled in booking form, waiting for response, prob tomorrow hopefully. Have not specified type of bed or room, really not bothered as long as I do not have to share a bed with anyone else. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Do we run a kitty system for food / drinks / sundries in the bunkhouse or do we look after ourselves on an individual basis?

When I go away with mates on bike tour / golf tours, we have a kitty for shared basics such as food & beverages. We find it works really well, prevents any ill feeling of persons taking the mick. Any money left over is divided up at end of tour. Perhaps £10 per person in the bunk house for the duration? If needs topping up then so be it. You do however need an honest elected member to look after the coffers. Just a suggestion

I'll have to see if Lady Poppy and I can make it for this. It's not too far from father in laws place so we should be able to combine both.

Have to admit I lost track in the run up discussions and missed the voting entirely but this option would have been my choice anyway. We'll check the diary and book if it works - probably the hotel option but I'll pop it in the accommodation thread once we know.

It will be nice to put faces to the nonsense I read every day

Thought this year worked a treat, don't see why we don't just do the same again.
Dozers Dad will be running a shuttle service up and down to the village to collect food ad beer :p

Think the supermarket delivered might work for us this time. As we can't walk to a the shop, be easier than having to empty the bike and then running to the shop, or getting your good self to do our shopping. Sounds like a good idea to suit the circumstances this time around.

i think we would have struggled to get the numbers to get exclusive use of the hostel in Tyndrum, their are loads of places in Scotland that would be suitable for a GMU but i didn't want to confuse things by putting up more proposals! a lot of them would be even further to travel to though!

it's probably a better idea to Make any trip to Scotland as an extra to the GMU ( an unofficial GMU !) me and Andy are hoping to have a trip in May next year as the weathers usually much better then,so anyone that voted for Scotland could go then as well as the official GMU?
