    Hi

After owning my T100 Bonnie for nearly 9 years it has gone to make room for a new Tiger 800 XRT. Trouble is I the Tiger arrives while I am in France so its going to be along wait till the next ride.
Will miss the Bonnie but am hoping that the Tiger lures me out in some slightly less clement weather and for longer runs without having to stop for fuel every 120 miles.

Maybe I will be lucky and the summer that we've not really had so far will materialise in October so I can get a few dry miles before winter.

Till then it's just forums and waiting

    Stuart

No Idea why I chose that name - I don't even like horse racing, although I did eat horse in France years back and can't say it was unpleasant.

    Hi
    Thanks for all the greetings
When it arrives it will be a white Tiger and for no better reason than that was the colour that I could get the soonest.
The wait is painful, I've had a bike of some sort in the garage for the best part of the last 40 years, the only slight lapse being when I had a Honda S2000 for a couple of years.
The Bonneville was fair weather only but at present I dont even have a bike to polish
Still the days tick away and a couple of weeks in France while I wait will help ease the pain.

    Welcome to the forum.
Good move - I did the same but missed the Bonnie so bought another one as well!
Hope it is blue and not that slow white colour!:cool: (white is just there for people who can't make their minds up which colour to have)

Hi I'm sure the wait will be worth it. There is nothing better than getting a new bike. Admiring it, polishing it, adding your choice of bits to it and most of all riding it. Enjoy :):):)

Great stuff.. but you'll miss the Bonnie ... I'm fortunate to have one of each and often take one out after the other on the same route and get a buzz from both bikes for very different reasons... I've the Tiger XRX and 2 improvements I've found most useful are the fitting of a Madstad windscreen and mirror stalk extensions. I've had 2 Tigers and neither the standard nor adjustable Triumph screens were any good for me (I'm only 5ft 11) and found the 20" Explorer Madstad excellent at getting rid of any buffeting.. can ride with visor up at 70mph.. the mirror extendor rods are 35mm long and just extend the mirrors that bit outward to give a clear view of the road behind rather than having to crook my arm every time ... Same fit as for the Bonnie and can get in black from Square Deals.. currently almost half price at £9.99. Both these have made long distance a breeze on the Tiger... enjoy
